 Buttercup has finally arrived. She is a 45 day old Female Doberman from Kerela. She arrived last friday 15th of June 2007, This post got abit delayed as i waiting for her photograph from my sister.
She is imported from kerela through vibin’s dad. This is my 3rd import of dobermans from Kerela (after blackie and brownie). I pick up dogs from Kerela as the breed bloodline is the strongest over there. And the kennels there, are well managed.
She boarded the flight at 7.00 am, in the morning by Jet Airways from Kerela. since she was 45 days old, i was extremely worried, whether she would make the flight trip from Kerela to Goa. To my dismay, the flight was via Mumbai, so the flight time was about 4 hours . But to my horror . They offloaded the dog in mumbai ( no idea why). Thus the Goa Flight came empty handed at 12.30, my family was waiting patiently and was shocked to see no Live cargo.
Then the series of calls and contacts follows. i was extremely annoyed with the Goa Jet Airways Office for not doing ( or not knowing) anything about the situation. So i had to take help from the Kerela Office and i managed to get help from Jet Airways Assistant Manager-Customer Relations, Ms Manasi Padhye in mumbai, who willingly took my case and looked into the situation.
Finally, I get the news from both Ms Manasi and the Kerela Office that the dog will be shipped in the next immediate flight. Now thats like a 7 hours total time for the puppy to be out. I was actually started to worry , whether it would survive the humidity in mumbai and in transit.
Goa Office sat and basically did nothing. Luckily the dog finally arrived at 4.30 Pm Indian Time. Thanks and applauds to the efforts of the  Kerela Jet Airways Team  and to Ms Manasi.
The Puppy was fine, a bit pale and warm, by the travel. She had a bit of high fever. The vet diagnoised it as tiredness from the journey. But she is healthy. I’m glad the whole episode Turned out to be very fruitful as i was fearing the worst.

one can understand your anxiety regarding buttercup’s late atrrival as per your expectations at Goa.
Since you are not new to receiving imports from Kerala and within the country, presuming Blackie and Brownie reached safe and sound and on time, one assumes that your imports and exports must have been streamlined.
At the time of your booking the live cargo,you must have definitely enquired with the concerned authorities at Kerala regarding direct flights to Goa.The Jet Airways personnel would have apprised you that the Live Cargo would reach Goa only via Mumbai. Your exclamatory remark that it was held up in Mumbai is quite amusing.
Jet Airways has handled such cargo in the past without much difficulties and grievances from the customers. Since you have not mentioned your modus operandi in importing Blackie and Brownie (very cute names)one assumes that you have utilised the services of Jet Airways in the past to your satisfaction.
Your personal appreciation regarding the staff at Cochin while being commendable only shows your satisfaction in using Jet Airways for transporting Live Cargo. If you had desired that Buttercup should reach Goa without any halt, you should have organised otherwise and the Jet Airways staff would have guided accordingly.
one should not place the onus on the Goa Staff as they are only responsible for receiving Live Cargo and handing over with a smile.

Thanks for your comments, i didnt expect it. :-). Frankly speaking , i never had any problems with Jet Airways. Thats why i used your services again. i came to know about Mumbai at the last minute, but i accepted it keeping in mind that the transit would be on scheduled and on time.
What happened in mumbai , still remains unknown!. This created a havoc in emotions and stress in witnessing the unexpected. Since you have mentioned “without much difficulties and grievances from the customers”, i assume , that Jet Airways has had issues such as these in the past. i presume that Jet Airways is doing its best to avoid such incidents through Quality Control and Assurance. i hope and wish you’ll the best in success for the same.
About Jet Airways going directly to Goa, Unfortunately, i wasnt told nor made aware by your staff in Cochin. i came to know about it last minute. I will look into it when i import again.
Lastly , i wouldnt have any grudge against the goan team , if they could have atleast calmed me or my family and worked around the situation. But they choose instead to wash their hands off it, which annoyed me to the core, while Mumbai and kerela offices, rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Thus finally solving the issue.
In conclusion, Jet Airways is truly a great service(Passenger or Cargo), i will definitely use them again. Its just few areas of business needed to be relooked into by you guys.

Looks like you are in the doggy selling business. What do you mean by Kerala Puppy Export. Are you trying to sell dogs by giving it some innovative name by connecting the word kerala to it, considering there are some millions of keralites in middle east who could be interested.

fredrick, im not into doggie selling, it was more a joke, than actually implementing the idea. KERELA PUPPY EXPORT , if you read between the lines, you will notice that i mean, that i gained experience of importing dogs from Kerela !!!
