Im in Goa right now . and im trying to be connected to my work and pending tasks from back in Kuwait. being in a remote area, there is no broadband(DSL) and dialup sucks due to low copper quality . So people have to live with GPRS. Airtel (India’s leading telecommunications) has come out with its AIRCARD (manufactured by “Option”). They say it uses the EDGE network for internet services.. But i highly doubt it . to what i have connected in different key locations it only uses GPRS , which highly is sad.

Touched Down goa, yesterday .. but was exhausted to the core. with a crazy Air India Flight. I had a tough time getting my internet organised. So got an AirCard from Airtel Mobile Telecommunications. i took the following photos while we were landing.
Im going to Goa for a short while as need to work out on my business plans. I will be online from there , doing my work and blogging as well. It seems the harvest season is going to be a bit delayed due to heavy rains … I love the rains ..i will be on my Bike too, will upload more pics and news while over there. Pray everything goes well.!
I have just managed to launch my old dreams into reality , by opening up a business centre in Goa - India. Working on the same lines of Kinkos and Kwik Kopy. Im trying to build a brand, in South India. Well , the name “Wnetworx” could resemble wireless services. But i tried to focus it on “WORK - NETWORK” - A Complete Office Management firm, handling services from Basic Copying to Advanced Rented Secretarial services to Accounting and basic book keeping for SMBs.
Services also include outsourcing of Office Admins, ASP(application service provider) rentals (like internet, project management, accounting ) . It took me quite a bit of headache, family issues, employee hunt and many other problems, but finally cleared them all. .. Well i hope you’ll can give me advise on what more services i could add to make it “DIFFERENT” and to popularise as a BRAND, like KINKOS and others.
Well , Yes! .. i was a tailor. I used to sit on the same exact above machine .. i stitch Pants , Shirts and one a small Suit!!!!. It took me , quite a hard life to transit, from tailoring to becoming an IT consultant.
 
I have been involved this month to build 2 wireless BaseStations in Goa, India. To meet a major point to point connection , between each other and to communicate with a 3rd party basestation.
I have been with UTIBank, India (Goa - Margao branch) for about 4 years now. I should say, i have been extremely happy with their services. I joined them, when my School Pal, sil was working with them. He convinced me that UTIBank would grow up. I had faith that they would.
I have been working on a project of mine in Goa, for almost 3 years now. Planning, conceptualization , funding etc. im not going to disclose anything of it right now. But just am glad that its doing well. I will be mentioning it out later in the next few months. Only a few Family members, and friends know about this. and i hope you’ll dont mention it out at this stage. The Above is an Abbreviated version of the logo, like Coca Cola having Coke and so on. Orange has never been my color, but it brings a new dimension to the surroundings.
I have been struggling for the last 12 months to get internet for a small office in Goa, India. I have tired BSNL prepaid, BSNl Dialup, Airtel GPRS, Airtel EDGE , tata indicom internet. all have been a major cost to setup and a major monthly subscription fees. But none have provided a great service nor provided me with support.
Unfortunately i cannot get any dsl or broadband(as they call it in India) as there is no cables laid out(even though this office is in the main road connecting 2 major cities in Goa). All of them have silly excuses, or silly unwanted problems. It really sad to see a growing country have major communication problems. Im not sure if this problem is due to a major country , or corrupt politicians.
I have 2 last resorts, i hope one works out . im building 2 major wireless towers that would transmit internet from a cybercafe to the office , a point to point distance of 5 miles. Or i have to apply for Sify Broadband(Cable TV), which has some bad reviews everywhere on the net.
When Bingo (my Wife’s Dog in Goa), fell seriously sick last year. she basically lost all control over her hind legs, basically making it impossible for her to stand. This february, when she was diagnoised for kidney stones. The Vet wasnt too, sure about a possibility an operation as she was 14 years old and weak.
