Option 1: Sneak it in with Dry Food

1) Buy a packet of treats that you think drives your cat crazy. (Trust me, there is a treat out there that will make your cat jump hoops for, you just have to find it). I haven’t seen these in the store around, they coulda worked too, but no fret, this way works like a charm as well.

2) Feed her the treats one by one where you hold the treat a little above her mouth making her open it, aloowing you to drop the treat into her open unsuspecting mouth.

3) Give her treats a few times until you hide the tablet along with her treat and let go of them simultaneously. My poor cat was suckered into all her meds with no torturous squishings and prying mouth open techniques.

Option 2: Sneak it in with Wet Food

1) Again find the most expensive yummiest looking cat food like this or this.

2) Mix the tablet well into the food so that it smells/looks like it belongs in there.

3) Don’t give her/him all of wet food. Just give enough so you can see her gobbling (it’s got to be so tasty that it’s they type he/she gobbles down) the tablet. Lesser the better, because it then remains a treat and she won’t get bored of it the next time its tablet time.

And tadaaaaa two stress free ways to trick your loved pets into taaking their meds that you can alternate between!

After recently getting my hands on Adobe CS4 (Yes, I know I am way behind as CS5 is out already), I have been exploring my first love, adobe illustrator again after a very long time. I am mouse savvy when it comes to doodling on illustrator, but unfortunately at home it is only the touch pad on my laptop I use and lets face it, it would only allow me to blob on any graphic design software.

And then I remembered Rayboy had gifted me the Genius G pen 4500 for a Christmas or a birthday! Genius! I whipped it out from the recesses it was tucked away in and plugged it in! It works excellent!

Genius G pen M712 x and m508 does not have any information online but the others:- The Easypen i405, Genius G pen 4500, Genius G pen 560, Genius G pen F350, Genius G pen F509, Genius G pen F610, the M609X, the G pen M712, the Mouse pen 8 x 6, the Mouse pen i608 and the pen sktch 9 x 12.

Some cool features of the Gpen 4500

Cordless pen has 1024-level pressure sensitivity for all kinds of thickness control

Supports Messenger handwriting function. Make Internet chatting unique and free.

The two buttons of the pen can be programmed as the mouse left and right buttons.

G-Pen 4500 has a programmable “Hot-Key” area for the office and Internet. Use it with the pen device for super shortcuts

While the G pen series are really affordable and also conveniently available at Sultan center at an affordable price, the Wacom series are a little more expensive and not too easy to find in Kuwait. Though the PL series on which you can work directly on the interactive TFT display really took my breath away. Besides Wacom there are several other reputed manufacturers such as UC-Logic, Aiptek, Calcomp and Dynalink but I’m not sure if these are available in Kuwait. Anyone seen ‘em around?

1) Demand your indemnity

2) Accept whatever crap indemnity you are getting if it is even 50-75% of what you are supposed to. The crap involved with shoon is a long and trying journey and will dwindle the money you get in the form of lawyer fees to 50% or 75% anyway (if not lesser)

3) This should probably be numero uno on the list, but leaving on a good foot will get you so far, and further- You might get more of that indemnity than bullsh*t.

4) Delete the history on your browser. I know exactly what you were tryin’ to look up on www.hidemyass.com, buddy.

5) Clean up your vehicle before you give it off. Seriously, whatevers under your back seat, it’s gross. Especially when unidentifiable!

6) Make sure that your computer is formatted or something so the next person there does not sign into your msn, or get revealed your “facebook activities” ugh!

7) Remember to spray some of this on the inside of one of the drawers of a colleague you particularly dislike. That’d teach ‘em everytime they open the drawer buahahahhaah!

If you are using a company phone number, message everyone and tell them to no longer contact you on this number. If the next person using that line receives calls at 3 in the a.m your reputation may just run amuck, mista!

9) Do NOT aggravate the IT department or they WILL sell your password for a cup of coffee.

10) That last month/ week you are there let them have the best of you. Don’t be the grouch that you can very well be, but let them see the super funny, energetic, helpful teamplayer that they are going to sorely miss when the office is dead quiet and the silence begins to haunt them!

Hmmm, anything I miss, peeps?

Many people I have spoken to seem to be under the impression that you can get hair extensions for about 50 KD if not more. It’s the truth but not the whole truth. The cost of human hair extensions range from 50 to a 100 KD to more, but synthetic locks come at a price of 5 KD a piece, of which one is usually enough for a subtle effect while two will make it look like you just found a magic potion for overnight hair growth.

Instead of going to a salon, you can pick up the extensions from these little shops in the building opposite Marks and Spencers in Salmiya. There’s two of them, and I’ll give you their number upon request but it’s easy to spot anyway. Bargain is the key word. I had bought two curly sets of locks in January for a New years Eve party, and they truly had a stunning effect. And I’m not even bragging yet. They sit tight throughout a night of crazy partying, and not once did I feel like they were coming off. I did use hair pins to secure it as well, even though they did in fact securely clip on. Recently, a certain cat managed to get its paws on one and the result was rather knotty but when I recounted the tale of the distressed tresses to the shopkeeper, he kindly volunteered to fix them back into shape for me if I got them back there.

They are a perfect quick solution, and you can easily take them off at the end of the night. Besides I think human hair can be used for this instead and help clean up the oil spill. Peace out, and enjoy your misty Monday peeps.

I recently had my pc at work formatted and it returned a changed system, complete with the amnesia of the existence of word 2003. Instead, there it was with it’s shiny new interface, sat staring at me was word 2007. I decided immediately that I liked it, simply because it would be the easiest way to get along with something that I HAD to use. The change from Word 2003 to Word 2007 is not optional, it’s just a matter of time.

What has been driving me crazy was the typing from right to left that it would suddenly switch to. I asked a few people to no avail. After some research, it turns out it could be one of two things.

First, set the default language dictionary to english. Mine was Arabic (Saudi Arabia)

Click on start, then on all programs, then on Microsoft Office, then on Microsoft Office Tools, then on Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings

Then ensure that the enabled editing languages you need are in the Enabled Editing Languages box on the right hand side and that the default the Primary Editing Language is set in the box at the bottom of the window. This will be the default dictionary.

Then open a document and on the Review Tab, Set Language (Right of Dictionary)

Click to select the Detect language automatically uncheck box, and then click OK .

It didn’t work on an converting an old document but all the new ones seem to work fine after this. Good luck with word 2007 and let me know if you find any cool moves on it….. Always works like a charm in the office to know your Word!

I decided to train people on basic things in an Advance way. So im starting this new category called “How To”. Much of this info, can be found online . But here i decided to accumulate all of it together.

The First part is How to search in google. Everyone knows how to search, but how to get it done efficiently and use Google to the fullest extend is done only by Few.

Basic Search , Type anything in Google Search field and you will probably get alot of results of the exact word or related words. For Example : Internet marketing

Explicit Phrase, Lets say you are looking for content about internet marketing. Instead of just typing internet marketing into the Google search box, you will likely be better off searching explicitly for the phrase. To do this, simply enclose the search phrase within double quotes. For Example: “internet marketing”

Exclude Words, Lets say you want to search for content about internet marketing, but you want to exclude any results that contain the term advertising. To do this, simply use the “-” sign in front of the word you want to exclude. Example Search: internet marketing -advertising

Site Specific Search, Often, you want to search a specific website for content that matches a certain phrase. Even if the site doesn’t support a built-in search feature, you can use Google to search the site for your term. Simply use the “site:somesite.com” modifier. Example: “internet marketing” site:www.smallbusinesshub.com

Similar Words and Synonyms, Let’s say you are want to include a word in your search, but want to include results that contain similar words or synonyms. To do this, use the “~” in front of the word.
Example: “internet marketing” ~professional

Specific Document Types, If you’re looking to find results that are of a specific type, you can use the modifier “filetype:”. For example, you might want to find only PowerPoint presentations related to internet marketing. Example: “internet marketing” filetype:ppt

This OR That, By default, when you do a search, Google will include all the terms specified in the search. If you are looking for any one of one or more terms to match, then you can use the OR operator. (Note: The OR has to be capitalized). Example: internet marketing OR advertising

Numeric Ranges, This is a rarely used, but highly useful tip. Let’s say you want to find results that contain any of a range of numbers. You can do this by using the X..Y modifier (in case this is hard to read, what’s between the X and Y are two periods. This type of search is useful for years (as shown below), prices or anywhere where you want to provide a series of numbers. Example: president 1940..1950

Stock (Ticker Symbol), Just enter a valid ticker symbol as your search term and Google will give you the current financials and a quick thumb-nail chart for the stock. Example: GOOG

Calculator, The next time you need to do a quick calculation, instead of bringing up the Calculator applet, you can just type your expression in to Google. Example: 48512 * 1.02

Word Definitions, If you need to quickly look up the definition of a word or phrase, simply use the “define:” command. Example: define:plethora

Converter, you can also get conversions done. For Example Converter: 72F in C

World Time, you can find out the time of any popular place in the world. For example: Time in Goa

Currency Converter, Similar to converter of formulae, but does for currency using latest forex. For Example: 100 GBP in USD

Lyric Search, You can find lyrics to any or most songs , by using the following example : womanizer :lyric

Live Commentary, if there is any live Cricket or other sports going on. Google can get you live results of the same. For Example : Cricket

Domain Expiry, If you like to see the creation or expiry of any domains , you can simply use Google. For Example : whois rayboy.org

There are much more than these, but those are extremely advanced which i will stress out in the next tutorial.
