With the new law of Driving and talking on the phone.. the reason they said, is that “talking on the phone, distracts the driver”, which is quite true. But offlate i noticed …..
i dont know how many of you’ll have listened to “Earth Song” by Micheal Jackson. With the new mobile law in place. i decided to key in my own words.. Sing with the same Earth Song tune.
What about Burgers ,
What about Laptops,
What about all the things
That happens on the road
What about killer cars
Is there a time
What about all the roads
That you said you would build in time
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood that has been shed
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying trees ahead
Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah
Here is the original track if you need to listen to it :

We got a call, from my wife’s Colleague, Patricia, today evening about a dog she found beside her house in Salmiya. it seems it was being badly beaten with sticks and kicks from 8 boys. So she called us and we rushed to rescue the dog.
Patricia said she had to yell at the boys to stop doing so as it was howling in pain and it seemed it was tied to pole. She managed to free the dog and kept it at a safer place and waited for us.
We reached there, it was saddening to see the dog in sort of trance, shivering and trying to breath. So we loosed out the rope from the dog’s neck and chest, so that could breath. We called AFL(Animal Friends League). who as always, were prompt to guide us on what steps to take. And the dog was rescued.
Patricia narrated to us, the event on how she heard the dog howling in pain from a distance and how painful’y it was see a helpless creature tied and beaten. Its so sad to see the younger generation to be both thoughtless and unsympathetic. if its not human emotions that can stop people from brutally beating animals… i wonder if its ever mentioned in each one’s religions thats Animals are created by God and to be treated with respect.
i got this by email today…i feel its a good cause.

Hello,
Animal Friends is in need of some volunteer help as we grow as an organization. All these opportunities do not require travel to the shelter.
First, we need to put together a fundraising committee. This would entail working on getting sponsors for our annual calendar, which we are working on now and planning fundraising events. These events often fall on weekends so you need to be willing to volunteer some of your time on the weekend. This also will include working directly with donors and trying to secure donations.
Second, Animal Friends has been awarded the honor of hosting the upcoming Middle East Network for Animal Welfare Conference here in Kuwait at the end of 2009. I would like to put together a planning committee for this large event since the time will be upon us very quickly. This is an amazing opportunity for us to get our message outÂ
to the population of Kuwait as well as the government by bringing very influential people in the field right into our living room. We are about 18 months away and every aspect of the conference needs to be planned.
Third, I would like to put together an education committee. Basically it is time to really hit the schools hard and start to get our message out to the younger generation of Kuwait in an organized and efficient manner. It would be very helpful if we could include some Arabic speakers on this committee. I already have some education programs that have been shared with me by bigger organizations that just needÂ
to be tweaked to meet our needs.
Last but not least, we are looking at taking on a paid Director of Fundraising on a part-time basis. If you love to fundraise and are able to commit twenty hours a week to the task, please let us know and we can discuss further.
And please feel free to forward on to anyone you think might be interested.
Kind regards,
Ayeshah Al-Humaidhi

For those, looking for jobs, can try applying at one of my client’s website…

We went grocery shopping at Lulu HyperMart yesterday evening. We passed by the eggs section and we were shocked to find this really huge thing… ‘Ostrich Eggs’.. Selling at KD 2.150/- each!!!!  I googled it today, there seems to be a whole lot of recipes for it. hmmmm….

I got a call from few friends, that Sheikh Saad, had passed away. This was shocking news. I knew he was old and ailing, but for him not to be around sounds so”not-right”. Though im not Kuwaiti, but from my childhood in kuwait growing up with 2 major Kuwaiti Rulers , Sheikh Jaber and Sheikh Saad, who has seen Kuwait grow both prosperous and strong in various fields, I feel the absence of him around very painful.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and to all kuwaiti’s in the country. May his soul rest in peace.!

We grow few pots of Aloe Vera at home, here in Kuwait. Since we have been feeding the Pots with Aquarium Water. The Aloe seems to have become a rain forest. So to avoid it falling off the windows, since its amazing heavy. we decided to harvest the leaves. We got roughly 4 Litres of Pulp with the harvest.
i found this article on preserving Aloe Pulp, which seems quite helpful ..

Im Back from Goa last night.. got a bit of Time Lagged. Waking up at 4.30 am today, which matches to 7.00 Am back in Kuwait, after a 14 long days. Goa is hot , but extremely humid. I have been drenched 90% of the time, when im out. Being extremely crowded these days. i chose to be on my bike, instead of the car.
