I have a passion for clown loaches. They are wonderful aquarium fish to have as a tropical environment setting. They full of personality from being moody, funny, hillarious, angry and so on. Clown Loaches thrive in groups. They need to be minimum 4. They are community fish and dont fight with other fish around. But its advisable to keep them as the only bottom dwellers and they love the grounds.
Quite frequently they are recommended to aquarists to help rid the tank of a snail infestation which are a pests, specially when you get water plants. Clown Loaches are natives from Indonesia, where they are caught & sold as stable food for the indonesians

Another strange behaviour, common to these Loaches is the habit of sleeping in weird places and at weird attitudes. A new owner may be disturbed to find the fish laying on its side or upside down as if they are dead, often under some decor or in a cave structure. This is just Clowns being Clowns and it is partially their behaviour patterns that get them their common name. For Example , the photo below, shows a group of sleeping loaches.

I will write later about maintaining these wonderful fish and how to make them interact with you.

I see potential for a colorful maki roll.
Could you give us a pic of the club they were drinking at before they succumbed to a drunken stupor?
yeah i would … hang in there for a minute.!
