 
4 weeks ago, i mentioned that there are few things kuwait “MUST” buy. One of them included a Solar Farm to generate electricity to support the ever growing needs of the Country. Kuwait Being rich , have excess of barren Lands and Lots of Sunlight, Can easily support the use of Solar Power here. (till date i dont know why it hasnt been implement)
To my surprise , i read in Arabtimes that Kuwait is planning in the near future to “EXPORT” electricity to the world , generated by major solar farms in Kuwait. Wow thats really great news 
I hope they keep their promise and get this project done, it would improve our welfare.

Yep, when there is a lot of “something” they must be a way to get use out of it. Lot of heat makes us uncomfortable but it can generates lots of power from solar systems.
I’m still disappointed that it took so long, as you said, Kuwait got the space and money for it.

CR : Kuwait is a slow , slow , slooooow places… things happen when someone gets up on the wrong side of the bed( i intentional wrote this) :-). Like Patrick said… its very disappointing.
Mpjs : My Weather Widget highly depends on the weather engine from Kuwait Airport website. Somehow they have been messing up the icons. the data is accurate , but its only the ICON!!! .. lets says will them a shot again for a while, if not i will change my provider.
Having solar farms as an alternate energy source is an excellent idea! However pardon me for being a little pessimistic here but it looks like it will be a while until the solar panels of this solar farm see any light of day or should I say and rays of the sun!
Considering the 5th ring road roundabout project was initially supposed to be an 18 month project, it’s taking them close to 3 years and it still isn’t complete. The construction of the new airport terminal was supposed to have begun in January of 2007 and completed by December 2008. It still hasn’t started. By the time they finish, we’ll be beaming our asses from one country to another via teleportation! :p
So about your solar farms? Saying they’d be ready by anything between 2 years to 3 decades would be a safe bet!

and PLEASE finish your project, THEN export to MERCURY if u want!
