Im thinking of opening a gaming centre, back in India… im not too sure though, didnt get enough support from family and few friends. so i was wondering if any one of you could give me ideas. Im thinking of a full fledged thing, with gaming seats, LAN games, Xbox and even a Nintendo Wii Arena . Everything with LCD screens . Maybe organise Championships!! … i even designed a logo for it!

What do you think?

I love the logo, but if you are thinking of opening a store there, will you be able to moniter it from here?? It’s going to be hard work. The concept is good, but how about the market in the place you want to open the store in? Can they afford the prices and is it safe to put high-tech equipments?
Good luck with your work and ensha-Allah if it is ment to be, it will happen sooner than later
The logo looks good. If it would be opening in Bangalore, you are gonna be rich mate!
Chroma-Trauma : Thanks for wishes and comments. Infact, managing a business remotely shouldnt be a problem as i have a few family members interested to help me out. i would just need to go down , setup things , build the business process and come back .
I come from a Town called Varca (GOA - INDIA). which in older days , used to be extremely quiet. But since the last 5 years , its a major happening place with 4 major 5-Star resorts have opened up. and the place is too busy. So i have seen the response of kids going to far off places to play. Businesswise i feel its fine .
I got opinions that kids get bored to play games after a while … i dont know how far its true. thus making my setup outdated.
MPJS : YEah Bangalore would be gaming heaven , but i will try out business back in Goa first as if i do some mistakes, i could instantly cover it up… while in Bangalore with the big sharks there i would be eaten.
Setting up a high-tech infrastucture in a place like Varca may be a gamble. Make sure you do a proper feasibility study before sinking any money.
Keep in mind that these areas are mainly geared towards tourism; so a gaming center may feel out of place here. And while I agree that the disposable income of the teenagers may have grown, people will still hesitate paying up the big bucks for high-tech gaming.
Cajie , you are quite right … im have started a small study already .. apart from the usual running around . i have sent a Playstation 1 and a Xbox down there . with a cart load of games.. i got a small shop there. will place these things and see the response for about 6 months…
Varca is extremely Tourism oriented. But the market i expect is not tourists , but children of workers supporting this tourism industry.. the amount of Non-Varca people (or Varkicar , they say) is extremely high .
Need any help in hacking the xbox 1 or installing xbmc or some other stuff, hit me up!
OK, here is what I can think of:
1- First person shooters like unreal, battlefield and rest
2- strategy like red alert, star craft…
3- FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer
4- Make regular official tournaments
Whether this will all catch up in india or not, i am sure you know better than we do
MPJS : Thanks .. will definately get you involved
Bashar : Yeah .. your ideas are good
