Submitted by rayboy on March 10, 2009 – 12:23 pm7 Comments

Sometimes i get this inspiration to cook. Im not that great, but i end up doing something. 2 weeks ago i decide to make this simple dish. the ingredients are pretty simple. But High Calorie ones.

Ingredients:

  • Kingfisher about 1.5 Kg ( cleaned, and slit with intestines removed. flesh need to seperated from the main bone).
  • 1 cup , INDO SAUCE(Avaliable in all supermarkets)
  • 200 Gms Butter (Amul – sliced into small pieces)
  • 1 tsp salt.
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • Tomatoes, curry leaves, grated capsicum and mayo for garnish.

Process:
Cut and clean, the fish, remove intestines, make a slit in the middle to seperate the bone from the flesh, wash and clean. Apply INDO Sauce all over inside-out. Sprinkle the salt all over. KEEP Aside for 4 to 5 hours (longer the better).

Once ready, Prepare to heat oven. Apply Butter all over the fish and keep 4 to 5 slices of butter inside the slit on both sides of the bone. thus while baking the butter melts into the fish.  Spread the pepper in the middle of the slit(not on the skin). Place in oven tray, the sauce and butter which seaps out, would help it cook. Turn every 20 Mins. Cook for 45 mins at low baking flame.

Once done, apply the grated capsicum on the sides, place it a plate with curry leaves , tomatoes and mayo.

Optional:
If you have wine, you could apply 1 tablespoon on both sides.

Serves 2.

Does not look very appetizing .. You seriously need some cooking classes.. But interesting enough to know what it will turn out to be with all those out of the ordinary ingredients you have suggested in the recipe.

Ahh….So your not just an IT dude…you specialize in many other fields I see :)

P.S. I’ve Noticed the BIG MASSIVE fishes from your FISH tank missing :)

  • Looks tempting, to have more cleaner way or if you dont want to use big oven for one single piece.

Wrap the stuff in silver foil, can use olive oil or butter, add onion rings in it. Depending on fish thickness from max 20 mins, 10 mins on each sid.

Pierce tooth pic to check if its cooked.

Taste more tastier as all flavour remains in it.
