There was a time when telecommunication and IT were 2 different fields. But the way how things are going with IP based Communications. The Future is already here. and both these fields are combining!!!!. With Countries slowly opening up to VOIP. I feel with Internet bandwidth becoming cheaper, IPTV will be the next thing happening.

i was in dubai for GITEX and was staying at a friend’s place at Discovery Gardens. It was great to see how DU, the local ISP transmitting Video through the Dubai Fibre Cables, right to your door step. To be honest i was impressed. So once im free from my tasks, i will be trying my own Experiments using Microsoft Windows Media since its easiest, then gradually branch out to VLC and other linux solutions.

Well if i succeed, then great.. could start my own Online Video Station!!. Any one want to join me to get this up?
