Now a days, the only discussion, which i seem to hear from the Kuwait Parliament is , Loans, Monthly Income, what that minister did, and lets grill them ….

So Dudes!, if you guys have run out of ideas, or have no idea what to do with your position, Here is some points.

SOLAR FARMS

Kuwait, has abundant, empty lands in the deserts,  you can arrange to have solar panels, to provide FREE electricity from our God Given SUN, i know it wont be enough to power the whole country, atleast you can power the streets and other utilities or provide backup when you decide to cut our electricity, even though we pay for it.

MINI RAIL SYSTEM

This would bring down the traffic atleast by 20%, when people will find it easier to travel. Connect far off areas like Ahmedi, Wafra, to Kuwait City etc. People will benefit by this, keeping the roads safer too.

ROAD TAX

I know people wont like this , but some roads like Gulf Road, etc. Put a toll booth, where , people have to pay a small fee to drive here. Many countries do this. You will avoid all the crazy unwanted drivers on this beautiful scenic road.

SPEED BUMPS

Please fill up the place, Put as much as needed. Speed Bumps, slow down traffic, but will help, protecting innocent lives from speeding drivers. Roads Like Gulf Road, Kuwait City, needs a lot of these.

PARKING COMPULSORY FOR NEW BUILDINGS

A System must be in place, for all new real estate to ensure, there is parking, i have seen 4 new buildings which have come up around my place in Salmiya, All No parking. The Government have to ensure that the building plan, should include parking space for its tenants, there should be a checking done by Baladia inspectors, before the building goes live.

LESSER PAPER WORK

More emphasis, to be given to IT, in all sectors of life, like medical, legal etc. For a simple Visa, i need to prepare so many papers , stamp this , do that. It should be simplified in all Sectors. Other GCC countries have already gone into Paperless offices,. Kuwait hasnt even planned it.

OPEN LIBRARIES

We need Open Libraries, where people of all walks of life can go to read books of all genre. there should be a reading , lending section. Probably even do it online.

MORE GREENARY

I miss those days before 2000, where there was too much emphasis in making KUWAIT GREEN. Now i only see fully grown trees being cut down, to make place for buildings and realestate. and the only grown tree is the “dates palm”, we want Kuwait to be green with more plant specimens.

VOIP

They say, “you cant fight them, then join them”, MOC should give up the fight, and introduce VOIP in kuwait. They can still block all the VOIP providers, but introduce it as their own gateway. You can be higher than international VOIP, but atleast be reasonable to the public and companies. So if you enforce everyone to use your VOIP gateway, people will  glady listen, but be reasonable. VOIP is not expensive to setup, if you do it right.

ENCOURAGE KUWAITIS

The Government should encourage Kuwaitis to work in other Careers, like secretarials, Junior sales, etc. All i see is the Government pushing them as Managers in every available job. I know a government sector, that 1 department has 8 Kuwaiti IT Managers, and 2 indian IT Technicians. Why 8 people to manage 2 guys. Worse is that these 8 guys are constantly Fighting amongst each other and the 2 guys dont know who to listen to.

The government should give incentives that Kuwaitis should be able to take lower positions. They should also encourage low income Kuwaiti Families to start up bigger businesses, and make all the terrible paper work involved lesser.

This is all i can remmeber for now….
