RedBull Organised its 1st Flugtag event in Kuwait. Zita and myself decided to drop in and cheer our bloggers who are participating in it. Unfortunately we reached a bit late and missed out on Imperial27 , but manage to get the others.

The event was crowded with loads of people, we couldnt find a proper place to stand and watch , infact most of the photos i have taken are on full Zoom and with Anti-Shake enabled. Watching the event from this angle doesnt really give you the distance of how much a plane flew, but you can actually see the plane and its wings

This is the stage /ramp created , you will notice a plane already setup for its flight.

This plane was dressed up a dragonfly, the pilot was getting ready to sit .

and off it went ………….

another strange looking white plane.

another plane crashing into Kuwait Waters.

The Event was well setup and organised with different parties involved. Here are the rescue people patrolling the area.

Another green looking contraption.

I think these were the looney tunes team…

It was patrolled by the Kuwait Coast Guard , to avoid any problems . There were 2 of these boats.

I dont know who they were .. but i think they had a role to play as they constantly went to check on the fallen pilots from their sinking planes.:-)

Another flight .. i think they had a looong flight .. though im not sure .. if they won.

Another glider looking one..

I noticed that the teams had to do some kind of presentation before they flew. Some danced, some paraded, some just waved . The Above had done some kind of act.

We decided to move to a different angle , so we came closer and stood on the right of the stage. Above is the bahrain team(i think).

and offfff they fell….

They then dragged it offshore…

The Comperes for the show. I dont know their names . But the female was screammming her throat out. She was like ” Is the Kuwait ready?”

Sorry about the quality of this one … But it was unexpected… One guy just decided to jump after his plane ..(Kuwait towers team ).
Overall it was a great evening. Kuwait should have more of such events..!!!

How can you already have them up???

I just downloaded mine from the cam, got some sweet ones too
Do you, by any chance know who that Photographer on the Coast guard boat is?

Neal : im not sure .. will find out!.
IrishLassy : They were there. Doing the clean up of sunken planes. they had to intervene between planes to ensure everything under water was clear. They have 2 divers in the water at all times.

Shook Sharq did less than 12 metrs ! thats when we left ! I need to get one of those zoom lense Vid camera !
Grey .. thanks .. i didnt really use a PRO Camera .. just a Casio Exilim Point Shoot. It had a powerful zoom and antishake option.

great post!
Haha, that must’ve been quite an experience
Chikap: Initially we were really far .. un describeable place.. They we came in front .. just infront of the VIP place , where all the crashed plane was dumped.
Rampurple : Wow … that was a quite a jump!
Ra7aLaH : It truly was .. i was actually tired when i reached home .. even though i wasnt participating
3Baid : how come you didnt drop in ?
Reason asking for the Photographer is, that I got him a couple of times too. He probably doesn’t care, but I would at least like to ask him, if he wants copies
Got one funny one after he got out of the boat and tried to retrieve that heavy camera without getting him or it wet
More pictures will come on my blog this afternoon - and the diving team was there.
Got some shots of them too.
If anyone knows anyone on my pictures and cares to have them, let me know.
I have the EX-P505
I was slobbering with the Science Club boys and girls right besides me yesterday, sigh
I’m not a pro, but some shots are quite nice
