Many of you commented on my snowing blog, some of sent me emails how i have done it. Well thanks for the compliments, But the script behind it is not mine. I found it on the internet as a “freebie”.
I will post on how it is done.
Firstly Keep it simple. Some sites have snowing crystals and geometric figures. and they are quite huge. Some how i didnt want to put that, as in real life(i havent seen snow as yet. except in documentaries and movies)… they dont look like these unless through a microscope.
Now whatever script you use. Dont make a major snow storm, though it looks cool. it will be irritating for viewers, and also slow down browsing drastically. and let snow stop after sometime.
I have used “Scott Schiller’s” Snowstorm effect. Im not sure how many of you know HTML and website files structure well.
But you need to do these 2 things
1. Upload /image & /script folders from the his zip file on to your blog or website.
2. Then , add this script
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”script/snowstorm.js”></script>
between the <head> & </head> area in which ever page you need to snow.
If you find Scott’s Page all greek, then direct download his files here. And carry out the above tasks. Best of Luck!

Argh, it slows down the page loading and scrolling BIG TIME :S (im on mac)
I’ve got probably a different script installed on mine. I’ve had it for a week now hehe I love my new template
