Heard of an ‘open source’ operating system called upono? or uguana? some African name (cnt remember the name sorry), i got a CD the other day, apparently its free to use and modify and copy and distribute. Wanna try it out myself (when I get the time).

You can run Ubuntu from the CD directly no need to install if you just want to try it. Download it from the site and burn it to CD.
hmmmm , wow .. there was a previous Linux distribution which could run from a cd … http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ . it mostly used in recovery situations.
