Qualitynet has come out with some amazing ramadhan offers. So due to my massive workload , with the Internet link at home , being my work tool. i decided to upgrade to 1 MB. They activated it today. i was worried whether my NETGEAR 834GT wouldnt support it.. But it has got connected instantly .. and i now i have download speed from 80KBPS to 130 KBPS.
130 kbps ! thats cool ! I’m still “struggling” with 40kbps
I’ve heard some bad reviews about the NETGEAR 834GT. How is it for you?
btw, Quality net has really improved a lot. have you tried calling their call center ? Support is much better now.

My Netgear 834GT .. is around 2 years 4 months old. and is satisfying 5 users from inside the house wirelessly and 3 computers through its Switch LAN. it never gave me a problem till date.
I have even used its port forwarding features to browse a webserver i made inside at home from the outside world. i have gave my users some added protection by enabling the firewall in it.
So far i havent had any problems with it. But i have upgraded the firmware to the latest one.
Qualitynet is the best from the all the ISPs in Kuwait. im not saying its the best ISP in the world or region … but given the choice to compare from the others ISPs in Kuwait. i give it full marks. What i like about qualitynet support is that they are Honest. If their service is down .. they accept it . Other ISPs wil blame your PC, your network, everything else except them.
I availed of the Ramadan offer and upgraded myself from 256 to 512. It makes a huge difference in the surfing experience.
Plus all my gaming devices (PS3, Wii, DS, PSP etc.) are now able to connect and download stuff faster, and multi-player very smooth.
